Writer's Block: It’s the first day of winter

During the winter months, I enjoy the swans on the pond, squirrels scampering through the wood and deer looking for morsels of food below the bird feeders. Winter also is a great time to be thankful, since after walking through the cold woods I always know I've got a warm spot waiting for me back home!
