I've started painting, again, and right now that is probably only thing that doesn't annoy me.

Today was great! I got a lot done before heading to work including placing an order for custom frames at Trade Winds in Bay View (I think I will use that place more often, they seem really nice!), buying some groceries, visiting the bank, and doing some work business stuff. The interview with the Boys and Girls club also went well.. I will be working full time based at one of their partner schools and occasionally traveling to other ones. I guess the laid back interview was a good thing...I got the internship with Milwaukee Magazine. I am now their photo intern for the next 6 months, which I am very excited about. Ill be an assistant during studio shoots, go on assignments around the city, and work on my own projects. Anne, the art director, was highly intrigued by my miniature ( Read more... )

Moving to Galveston, TX fell through. I really loved the organization and everyone who worked there, but the only thing I was lacking was teaching experience. Which, I do not blame them. I was already apprehensive about dealing with middle school students (gosh, hormones) so this was probably for the better. My appreciation for Milwaukee increased ( Read more... )

Good news.. I had wonderful phone interview today and now they want me to come down to Galveston, TX for a followup interview in person. I opted to take the train instead of a plane so I'm leaving Wednesday and coming home Monday. I've learned a lot by coming out here. Some very small, irrelevant things, and other fairly large significant things. Every city is the same, its the people that are different.
