So ironically, despite how exhausted I was, I slept poorly and was up at quarter to six. Rather than begin the ordeal of unpacking, I logged on to see what was up with Multiverse - I'd received a piece of feedback, so I knew it was up. Turns out the authors have been revealed, so I can post the story in my journal! This is...dark. It was going ( Read more... )

I believe I sent feedback on this story because, while it made me a bit queasy (I'm a big baby) at parts, I loved the dark feel of it. It's strange how calm Kaylee is in the story, but I love her interactions with Rodney.

Thank you! I'm glad you like the feel. It was so much easier to figure out how Kaylee (any Kaylee) would react to Rodney than the other way around.

I see Kaylee as having started to shut down in this story - she's been in captivity, oh, at least a few months at that point. And I tried to indicate the process by comparing her to the "others." If I continued this story, she'd be seeing a lot of Heightmeyer. *g*

Wow. This really is dark. But there's a ray or two of hope at the end. Yikes. Awesome-scary.

Thanks! I'm getting the impression that people don't believe me when I say I've written something dark. *g*

"Awesome-scary" is wonderful feedback to get for something like this. Hee!

Holy crap, that's dark. But believably so, and the interaction between Kaylee and Rodney were fab. And beautifully-written as always.

This is a scary, creepy, yet ultimately hopeful story and that is a tough combination to pull off. Thank you so much for sharing.

Thank you! I didn't even realize until I got this comment that the story is best categorized as horror. Huh! I didn't think I'd ever write horror.

I don't think I could have written it if they didn't escape in the end. And just imagine what Kaylee will think of Atlantis!

It was creepy, and kind of gross, what with the Wraith-eating, but I really enjoyed it. Great story.

Well, I maintain that eating Wraith is better than what it implies about their usual meals, but I see your point. Thanks for letting me know you liked it!
