It's been a while since I put down something worthwhile here, so here goes :)

Thanks! :) It was a little over 3 weeks, a good amount in December as well, but all that went to waste due to the vacation in Australia...

LOL. It's an expensive bike, by *any* standards. Except if you're into road bikes. Then it's the cheapest :p

heh.. What is special about road bikes? I mean, I always had a hero ranger (not to insult your bike by comparing it with mine). So what is different from a regular bike like hero ranger?

Err, a road bike has thin tyres and more aerodynamics built into it viz a viz the handle bars etc...to make it possible to ride with least wind resistance. I don't know what a hero ranger looks like :p but those are the two main differences (apart from the gear mechanisms) that set apart road bikes from mountain bikes...

No, a year ago I couldn't do it either...and I'm not kidding you, it's all in the mind and...training.

Hmm.. I guess so.. I'm right now training to run faster and faster (treadmill) for longer and longer times. Let's see if I can maintain my enthusiasm and get to a decent speed for a decent amt of time or not ;)

Cool. Helps to have a target, like a race or a half-marathon you want to take part in. It keeps you going. Do remember treadmill != running outdoors...and will probably be more difficult outdoors.

Wow ! 40 Kms is awesome by any measure !!

Now I should be motivated to get my road bike serviced. I stopped cycling after the last monsoon and haven't picked up since then. :(

BTW Nice userpic :)
