Parents
V's parents left yesterday. It took him 4 years to convince them before they paid us a visit.
In just 2 and half months we became so habituated to their presence that their absence feels weird.
Overall it was a very nice trip for them and a memorable time for us.

National Anthem
Some satellite Dish channel in US is telecasting Jan gana mana in every commercial break. My basic education taught me to pay due respect (read standing in attention) to the national anthem when ever it hit my ear drums. What does media expect ?
