Winter Solstice Lunar Eclipse, 2010

It was cloudy, so we were pretty concerned that we wouldn't be able to see much.  Fortunately, the clouds cleared just in time for totality - then came back again as we were leaving totality.  Considering there was still snow on the ground, the full moon was almost like daylight before the eclipse.  So I was thrilled to be able to capture stars ( Read more... )

Beautiful. Thanks for sharing. We were experiencing very low visibility, so i'm referring my friends to check out your pictures for what we in Colorado Springs missed.
