Introspective observations...
I was awestruck today by the beauty of imperfection.
Think of a face, for example: a face with character. Not the prettiest face you ever saw, in fact, it probably has a few wrinkles, maybe a freckle on the cheek or a scar above the right eyebrow. I think, as of this Friday, I will be a very happy person indeed. I'll have all but one midterm of the semester out of the way by then, and I'll be going to see Pan's Labyrinth at this adorable little theatre downtown with friends and I will be packed and ready to get up at five thirty the next morning to catch a plane to Florida. Miscommunications drive me crazy!!! Okay. So I lost my pencil case somewhere between my last exam and Christmas break. Yeah, I know that makes me a dufus, and whatever. - I'm hyper-aware of cell phones. Even while playing piano loudly, with the door to my room closed, my roommate's silent, vibrating cell phone is enough to jar me from what I'm doing and draw me out of my room to see what is going on.
