It is friggin cold outside today. I'm talking Antarctica cold (not that I even know what that feels like).

The wind is wiping around so it looks like a blizzard and the high temperature for today is like 8 degrees. It's a good day for blockbusters, books and video games.

I wish I were in the tropics right now.

Yesterday while walking to my car from work I was approached by a woman who, from looks alone, didn't appear to be homeless. She had on purple lipstick for cryin' out loud! I've found out that I have higher than normal cholesterol. For a skinny girl with hypothyroidism I should be HUGE. I was a little worried when I found about about my cholesterol level but I also read that it's pretty common for people with hypothyroidism. My doc sent me a script that I've gotten filled but can't decide whether to take or not. ( Read more... )

It turns out the recipe I have for pumpkin pie is enough for more than two pies when I only have 2 pie shells. I sent Shawn to the grocer to get more 'cause I'll be damned if I make homemade pie crust too. As a treat, I'll be sending a couple lucky guests home with their very own pumpkin pie tomorrow.
