Tomorrow at 7:45am I will report for jury duty at the third judicial circuit court in downtown Detroit. It is the largest circuit court in Michigan. I hoped and prayed that I would call in this evening after 5pm and they would say juror group number 404 does not have to report, but that didn't happen. If you get stuck on a jury, I hope it's a fascinating case. I never got picked because of working in law enforcement. I secretly did want to get picked though. It beat going to work. It doesn't sound like you're excited by it though, so I'll hope that they let you go without making you return day after day.

Sorry to hear about your grandmother. That sucks!

I didn't get picked. Instead, me and about 40 other jurors sat in the hallway outside of our assigned courtroom waiting... and waiting. I finally went home around noon because both sides reached some kind resolution.

I was a little bummed about not even getting to hear about the potential case. I would have been nice to sit in and at least listen.

Oh well, maybe some other time.
