There's only so far someone can go on adrenaline- even adrenaline helped by a couple doses of Trucker's Delight. Laini's even offered Mother some of her caffiene stash, but after driving for ten hours in the general direction of away from Black Mesa and any car that even remotely looks like The Law

Laini glances up from her laptop, screen flickering with a few search and warding programs. She's already turned down the brightness so it doesn't glare off the dark windows- but it's still enough to look odd reflecting off her face.

"Hm?"

If he weren't so sleep deprived, he wouldn't be doing this.

But it's clear enough to see by the lights of the dashboard, that he is really too damn tired to go on.

"You know which pedals are the brake and gas, right?"
