Believe me, I'm trying. But out of my life doesn't mean out of my head.

I know it's hard to let go of all the crap that comes from a horrible parent. But there's things you got to do to start trying. Don't get stupid over little things like her spelling in her e-mails. You must know that if you say something about her spelling, she's just going to be a bitch about it and try to bug you more. It's like you're asking for punishment. Every time you "throw something in her face" or whatever stupid high school crap you do because you think it's getting back at her isn't going to do anything more than make her be more horrible back at you. From reading your LJ entries, it's clear that you're the one suffering and I hightly doubt it really gets to her much ( ... )

The seperation has been made, and now you have the upper hand in how you interact with your mother, Karol. As carp said, buisnesslike and calm responses are one of the best ways to respond because it shows that nothing she says, nothing she does to poke and prod at you from a long distance will affect you. Plus, by removing emotion from your interactions with her, you may be able to concentrait more on your current friendships and advancements, rather than dwelling on what is now in the past.

Carpe Diem, my friend. You cannot move farward if you always are looking behind you.
