I just came in from doing lawn work, and our realor stopped by with lasagna, salad, tomatoes, bread...and Budweiser! Teh awesome.
Oh, and a pound of salt. I'm not sure if that was supposed to be there or if there's something with buying a house and salt?!

That's awesome that your realtor is so cool. I wish I had that just with the crazy lady in charge of renting our current place.

Not sure about the salt thing. Could be linked to the tradition of spreading a salt circle around things you want protected (keeps out evil spirits and such) and a new house you'd clearly want protected :) It links back to us pagans, though many people may not acknowledge or know that. :)

"SALT - If you sprinkle some salt on the doorway to a NEW house then no evil can enter it! Also, if you spill some salt then you must take a pinch of the spilt salt & throw it over your left shoulder as the devil waits there & by throwing the salt you are driving him away!"
