(BTW, I've been told that when you give a horse an apple, it's a good idea to cut it into several pieces, as the horse - supposedly - will not really notice the difference between, say, half or a quarter of an apple and a whole apple, and therefore will enjoy it more as (s)he'll think (s)he's getting four apples instead of one. I'm not sure if that's true, to be honest, but if it is, I imagine it could be applied to carrots, too...)
Not sure, but I will say, they sucked down those carrots with no regard for quantity! Thank goodness we only had two bags to share among the four of them. With an unlimited quantity, I'm honestly unsure if they'd know when to stop. ;)
