I haven't really been very political so far this year, and it's probably a good thing since I don't have a whole lot of faith in the system in my old age. ;) But, these are the times when you just need to be able to laugh at the situation.

I used to watch Mister Roger's Neighborhood all the time when I was little, right after Sesame Street on the public broadcast station (PBS).

This story makes me appreciate more what a great guy Fred Rogers was.

Maybe I'm a sap, but this story about a neglected girl in Tampa, made my eyes well up something awful.

Both very bad and very good. I'm not really sure how I feel about my faith in humanity right now, considering what the birth "mother" got away with, but I do wish the girl Dani and her new real family the best in all the world.

I understand great moments of inspiration often come in the shower.

The idea of doing Mr. Roger's "Won't You Be My Neighbor?" song to thrash metal is probably not one of them. ;-)

So I finally think I've figured out why my Gmail has been busted for awhile on my Firefox. I was constantly getting the following error:Oops... the system has encountered a problem (#102) - Retrying in 1s...
The gmail support site seems to indicate that it's a known problem and the Gmail engineers are working on it, but it doesn't say much more ( Read more... )
