I long ago stopped expecting the dorm bathroom to act like a normal bathroom.

So why am I still surprised when there is a pair of underwear stays on the floor of a shower stall all weekend, or when all but one of the toilets has unsavory things floating in it, or when there is no hot water?

The hot water issue annoys and slightly surprises me... I'm getting tired of it.

Berkeley dorm bathrooms are mostly co-ed so I was used to much worse unfortunately. Real nasty stuff and what's with people missing their aim in toilet stalls :( Weekends were the worse since no cleaning lady.

I have a measuring tape with your name on it. You lent it to me the first week of freshman year. Do you want to meet up at Common Ground or something?

Yes. I had forgotten about that measuring tape... kept trying to measure things with bits of string and one of those half-foot-long plastic rulers you use in high school geometry classes. Heh.

When's a good time?

9:40 pm at CG?

Wow, this is unbelievably public. I wonder if men in ski masks will appear

See you there.

I'll be the one in the black ski mask. :P

is this a co-ed bathroom, or a women's bathroom?

i mean, i just ask because as a man, i want to believe that women don't do anything in the bathroom other than look in the mirror and gush about how cute i am.

i don't even imagine any toilets in that scenario.

Women's bathroom.

Sadly, girls do many many more things in a bathroom than what you imagine. Actually, very little gushing about people happens in the bathroom. Unless everyone just shuts up when I enter or some such like that...

everyone MUST shut up. i can't imagine why, but i also can't imagine a women's restroom any other way.

other than that one episode of Dexter's Lab where he goes in the girls bathroom and there's a gateway to a big field or playground or something that girls go to in the bathroom.

i can imagine that one too.

oh, and showering, i guess. i like to picture it as more of an innocent thing though. the showering kinda dirties it up, clouds my mind, clouds my judgement.

so gushing about me and fields of unicorns, etc... that's what i'm sticking with

Come on, we all know from Boy Meets World that girls bathrooms have really comfortable couches in them.
