I know this group has been a bit dead and I don't really have anything to debate so much as a WTF? type thing where folks are encouraging plagiarism

I honestly don't know. I haven't heard about it from anyone else or seen it anywhere but I fel some authors might just be pulling their work down instead of bothering with it.
Good lord. What have come to this world? No one, except the writer, has any rights to declare the transfer ownership of a story. It's morons like these that screws (pardon the language) up FP. People like these that should rot, since it was them that encouraged plagiarism and cause many a good writers to go off. I read through everything on the debate, and searched up the writers. I am extremely upset by what the world has come to. Stories removed, discontinued, all due to plagiarism. Really, will people NEVER learn that plagiarism is *BAAAAAD* and bastards (sorry >_<) like them should be left in the desert alone and have their bones pecked by whatever vulture happening to be flying past? Copying=/=Yours. B****! *O****.******* *** *******. (Again, I apologise. But this is really getting on my nerves... ALL THOSE WRITERS. GONE. ALL THOSE FICS. REMOVED. W#!*!*%($|}{?`>"RC@(#!_@)~!|';.,/=-@{~
LOL! Sounds like a PO'd reader who's upset that the author abandoned their story. If you can pinpoint who really sent it, I'm sure you could report them and have their account blocked, as the message does come across as a little threatening. Rest assured, there is nothing in law or even FP guidelines that says you must finish a story or your copyrights will be taken. Copyrights are sold or taken away in an offical court of law if someone has a legitamate reason to sue for rights; not on websites. I can sympathize with the frustration of an author leaving readers hanging on their stories (way too many authors do this), but this person clearly took the joke too far by sounding threatening.
