Man, do I ever feel you on the opposite of nostalgia. I find that most of my regrets are from things I have said, and as a result, I've kept my mouth shut lately. But I can dredge up moments from high school where I was a bit of a bitch, or completely embarrassed myself or someone else by opening my damn mouth. I can take all those memories, and play them in a continuous loop, resulting in thoughts like:

"I don't deserve this job/man/nice thing because I put a girl down in grade nine or that time I said something totally inappropriate at the funeral home or made the girl at work cry or ____________."

All of my memories of me being a shithead are neatly filed away. I can torture myself so easily, and do fairly frequently. I drink a lot, but it's a surprise I don't drink more. If talking is a form of doing something, then the expression "you're more than likely to regret the things you don't do" is total shit, possibly invented by some extreme sports marketing douchebag.

My two cents, anyways.
