I had a couple dreams last night where I was in Germany and somehow I went into somebody's house that was up on a hill and just started walking around inside and talking with the family that lived there. This afternoon I had a dream where I was standing in line to get into Dos Gringos and some girl got kicked out for having a fake ID. For some reason it was a drivers license with the face of Yoda on it and apparently I thought it had been specially issued by someone at the DMV. I'm trying to decide if staying at Starbucks is really worth it. On the one hand if I stay I might be able to become a supervisor which would be a little more money but more importantly good work experience and I figured out today that I can get health insurance through them for $12.50 every two weeks as long as I work 20 hours a week. I called this lady back from STA today about positions teaching English abroad. Apparently the programs they have in Spain are where they set you up with a host family and its basically tutoring with kids. They also have programs in Ecuador and Argentina that are in a classroom setting but one of the programs just started in Ecuador so I'd have to ( Read more... )

It must have been well over a hundred degrees yesterday as I finished packing everything and took care of the yard work I had to do at my neighbors before leaving last night. We barely crammed the bikes into the boxes, the wheels ended up being a couple inches taller than the boxes. I managed to fit everything in and closed the box with about half ( Read more... )

Last nights flight into Frankfurt was pretty smooth. Despite being really tired and being on an 8 hour flight I was only able to sleep about 3 hours. We landed under clouds and some fog just after sunrise. After landing we had to get out using a staircase ramp and taking buses to the terminal.
