This is a follow up, or a reasoning on my last post about quitting my job. I do have a very good reason for doing so.

I'M MOVING TO MELBOURNE!

In four weeks. So keep 12 January free. It's my last day of work and I'm going out afterwards for my last night in Brisbane for a while. I fly out on the 14th. And I want to hang out with you all before I go.

My work computer has died, so I get to sit in someone else's little office while it's being reformatted. Which is nice for having music louder.

BUT

They have a nectarine sitting on their shelf and who knows how long it's been there but it's totally wrinkled, and starting to collapse in on itself or droop a little anyway.

That's just not cool.

On Saturday I went and saw Qld Ballet do Romeo & Juliet. Had great seats. Third row, but the first two are separate from the rest for some reason, so there was heaps of leg room. And so close to the stage cos they don't get their own orchestra like the Australian Ballet does ( Read more... )

Shoe shopping is cancelled! Which is great.

My mum has some awesome little ankle boots. Pointy toe and little buckles on the side. I put them on with black stockings and my dress and I feel like Bridget Fonda in Singles. Well, mixed with cocktail dress.

Tonight I went to a housewarming with two themes. Science and Germany. So I went as Abby from NCIS with a Rammstein shirt.

I had lots of fun in Melbourne. One of the highlights being my wandering thru the Botanical Gardens. I spent three hours there before heading back over the river to meet Carrie for lunch. Such a beautiful, peaceful place. Just gotta watch the paths around the outside of it which are full of joggers and dog walkers who don't want to move. No one ( Read more... )
