WANTED: a definite explanation to what you think Societies 'Norms' are. Please explain to me, in relative detail, wtf exactly "society" means to you.

P.S. Answer must not be stupid.

Society.
Society is a bunch of people.
And really, that's it.

This could entail much more - ie, smaller social groups, economy, norms and un-norms, etc.

(I have more to say, but I have to go.)

*ab-norms, btw.

"Society" entails people, what they believe, what they do, what they think is acceptable, how they function, and the inverses of all of these things.

Man, that's basically it.
I could go on a rant for a while, but I think I'll keep it simple.

Oye, if I took a guess... and juding by what "society" in most context means (like: "Women can't walk around topless because it's just a rule of society")
I suppose it's the people and rules/beliefs of the largest group of people that have similar interests, morals, religion, etc etc etc (because not everyone thinks it's so wrong for breasts to be exposed.)
And that's my guess at what the "society" means.

By the way,
Chelsea loves Franz because Franz makes her feel better about being completely forgotten by someone. Franz did help. Chelsea thanks Franz for making her laugh. Chelsea *textheart* Franz.

well in sociology class i learned that norms are the behaviors that are acceptable in society and what is usually expected of you. and example would be that a norm for a library would include being quiet and respectful.

im pretty sure that's what it is at least, if i remember correctly; and i agree as to what it is. But norms vary from culture to culture. And i dont think all norms should have to be followed, but i am of a different generation than older people so our norms can vary greatly as to what people should be able to do and what is and is not respectful. Not that you have to be old to have different norms than me, i think they can change during a persons life and people are very different from one another... so yea, there's my long answer.

Society norms change every second. A definition is impossible. And you know us goths, always trying to defy them!
