It really irks me how some people on LJ, and some people in real life that I know, are suddenly saying, "Oh, I knew Michael Jackson wasn't guilty, he's just weird..blah, blah, blah! It's just so easy to say that now that the jury has spoken, pfsst ( Read more... )

My honest reaction was pleasure that he was acquitted. I do have reservations about him, but I thought the jury was very thoughtful.

I think he should never, ever, ever have any child alone with him again.

And I think he needs a fine therapist and a good financial advisor who can help him get out of debt.

He needs to let go of this Peter Pan stuff--he is almost fifty.

I think the jury did a fine job. They went by the law and did an honest job. They had to come out with a verdict based on the facts and I think the witnesses for the prosecution just weren't credible.

He definately needs to get some help psychologically and someone that can help him put his life back in order! Someone needs to tell him that his obsession with children isn't healthy.

It's just sad to see how he's hurt his career.

I'm hoping that, at the very least, someone will keep the kids from staying overnight at his house!

I just read in the news that he has already said, no more sleepovers. I believe he has learned his lesson, or at least I hope so!

It is unfortunate, because I do think he is a pedophile but he lucked out because his accuser(s) were so horrible.

Let's hope he really means it about the 'no more sleepovers' Paying out $20 million or whatever it was in 1993 obviously didn't teach him!

I agree with everything frazzzled wrote. I also suspect that he is, in fact, a pedophile who's been incredibly lucky. I've always loved his music and it's a shame that his personal life has overshadowed his talent. I'll miss Michael Jackson, the entertainer.

I miss Michael Jackson the entertainer also! He was great and when I was young I bought his 45's and I still have them!

I listened to a lot of his music while I was dating, so his music brings back a lot of awesome memories.

It's also horrific how he destroyed his face! He was such a nice looking kid, why did he have to try and change his looks? I just don't get it!

I know, he looks like a freak of nature now. It's sad.

i never even formed an opinon on this or him (imagine that!)
i don't know him, understand him and can't seek to understand him, therefore i can't judge him.

A lot of us loved his music from the seventies and eighties! He was awesome, but he's turned out to be a real freak!

some of the jurors thought he was guilty, but you have to find him guilty without a resonable doubt and they didnt feel that there was enough evidence to convict him......
your right, dont judge unless you know the whole story

they also might have thought he was guilty of some things that he wasn't specifically being tried for... they had to find him guilty beyond a reasonable doubt of the specifics that he was being tried for and they probably didn't have enough evidence to do that

yeah
and thats what they were saying that they couldnt do. that they felt he was guilty, but with what they were given, they couldnt say that with a resonable doubt
