Like every little kid, I dreamed of being invisible. Other kids wanted to be invisible to steal cookies or stay up past their bedtime. You so clearly express that feeling of knowing that one is dysfunctional, but embracing the comfort of knowing one's dysfunction. And great phrasings, too.

I could relate to this sadly. I'm scared to get better and to actually like myself without an eating disorder. It's very scary and you describe it so well.
