so after rereading my favorite short story, Mr. Squishy, by david foster wallace i have decided to reread infinte jest during this, its ten year anniversary year. I have to get it out of the library since jason brown has had my copy and been reading it one page at a time for the last 8 years or so.

having these two cats has taught me a lot about how to love something, and also a lot about how to recieve love

i got very sad in the nautalis diner yesterday looking at the big pile of bananas

so today i finshed the book paradiso by jose lezama lima. it is a book that really cant be talked about. it is also the most dense and slow moving, and difficult book i have ever read which made it an accomplishment i am proud of. it is denser than book of disquiet, hopscotch, even proust. well not of course reading the whole of proust, but it runs ( Read more... )

yesterday was a heavy day in my life as i met for the first time the incredibly small and cute and 3 days old avner shahar. his mama is glowing and his dad is so wonderfully quietly content and happy you can feel it coming off him from across the room. i admire him very much knowdays. avner has a great head of hair. he has more hair at 3 days old ( Read more... )
