That was fun, but it reminds me that I need to write more. Hrmm...when's the State of the Union? That should be some prime fodder...

It should be coming up in the next few days--the federal budget has to be presented to Congress by February 1, and traditionally the State of the Union is the opening salvo to the hundreds of pages of budget ridiculousness. Normally it's around the 28-30th of January.
