Life, is often thought to be far too serious a matter.

Life is a serious matter. But that doesn't mean that you should treat it like it was plutonium. In other words it's ok to run with scissors every once in a while but don't walk barefoot on glass just to say you "live life to the fullest."

That just pops into my head whenever "life" and "serious" are in the same sentence :P

But ya...a lot of people do look to harshly at their own life and believe themselves an expert in yours.
