I mean, western setting, robots and Ed Harris (the rest of the cast is great too, but I have always been a fan of Ed Harris)!!!!! How could I not watch it?!

Loved the pilot, very engaging. I'm going to watch on for sure. Don't have much to speculate yet, but that may come as things move on.

Yeah the flies are a good plot device, first pointing out the robot state in the opening sequence, then the glitches. Also, Bernard said that the hosts wouldn't harm a fly.

It's significant that the sheriff started malfunctioning when a fly landed on his face. His crisis looked as if an inner struggle was going on, that the fly had triggered. I guess part of him - the part that is becoming aware/alive - wanted to slap it, but his programming was still strong enough to prevent it.

Dolores killing the fly, in the end, underlined the fact that there is no struggle anymore, the awareness won.

As for "Humans", I haven't seen that British remake, but the original Swedish series was great. I am not surprised it didn't "translate" well.

But MR ROBOT isn't a robot show. I rather like the first season but, sadly, I have to say that I found the second season quite underwhelming. Not as bad as True Detective s2, but still a step down IMO.

So much TV, so little time.

We are currently watching Mr Robot and Luke Cage. And there are several other shows we still haven't finished (The Americans, Preacher) I don't know whether we get Westworld in a hassle-free way - it's on HBO? It sounds very intriguing, but we've got so much legal TV to watch on Netflix and amazon that we're probably sitting this one out and waiting for it to turn up there at some point.
