Guy update.

 So after what was possibly the best first date of my adult dating life (some what sad actually).

He used the "We should just be friends line."

And then the phone rang saving him from having to explain whether its just me who he's not attracted to- or the fact that he still legally has a wife.

he's not nice if he's still married or has a girlfriend or any of that. he just wants anything he can have. unfortunately, i know.

So I'll take the bold move of standing against the great estrogen tide and not rush to judge this guy. As far as I'm concerned, the only crime he's guilty of is not being 100% honest up front. Marriages that are on the brink of or in the process of ending can be a very complicated situation. It could be that he's in the middle of separating or seeking a divorce and is taking a baby step at playing the field again. Whatever. His only crime here is not being 100% honest up front, but I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt and assume the guy is just scared to death. "Hi, I'm on the downslope of a failed marriage and I'm wondering if you would be interested in going out and having a good time together because I'm at a low point in my life and need to be reminded that I can have a good time with another woman" isn't exactly the catchiest pickup line ( ... )
