Poll Friends only?
As I said in this entry some days ago, I've been thinking about making my journal friends-only, or rather, mainly friends-only, using the journal for announcing site updates in public posts... please comment on the subject as well :)

Oh... (aka update) when/if you vote... please add a comment and explain why you voted as you did... thanks in ( Read more... )

I voted the way I did because I like pie? Er.. but seriously.. I dunno, seems like a decent idea to me, being a thing for updates publicly, and then friends only 'journal things.' But either way doesn't matter, I guess.

open-ness invites potential friends, and people who share similar interests. :)
closed-ness rejects them to the dark corners.

of course, there's always going to be that occaisional entry that should be protected. ^~

Heh... I already have those, and there will be non-website-related public posts everynow and then too, but... most of the journal would be friends-only, and besides... I prefer getting to know people from 'direct' (as direct as it can be on the 'Net) conversation... so, yeah... besides, whenever my website actually gets up and public, my family and RL friends, and general RL acquintances whom I wouldn't like to know about, might find my journal, actually... they'd be likely to as I'd like them to see it, and then they'd browse about on the site and find it somehow...
Uhm... yeah... >_>

keeping the journal parts friends-only protects you.

Heh, like I'd do anything else than what I want! However, this post was meant more like getting feedback and some form of discussion about it, as noone seemed willing to the respond the post I mentioned...
