As much as I would like to think that writing a letter would help I just don't see it making much difference. What reason do they have to care? I'm not a minority, I'm not from a disadvantaged background (growing up we had what we needed, but not a lot of extras.), my grades were average (I never really tried in most of my classes.), and my credit is not great. The bad stuff will be aging off of my credit report in the next 6 months or so, but it is still there. I checked before I even applied.

It is too late to do anything about it this semester anyway. I found out last Wednesday what the financial aid situation was. I thought that I would be able to get Stafford loans for the entire amount. The financial aid guy couldn't be bothered to do anything, and I needed to have everything lined up by today. I spent about 20 minutes just short of yelling at him to find out anything a week after he said I would have my award letter. That was three weeks after I thought I would have the letter.

i'm sorry, man! wish there was something you could figure out. it sucks that people that don't have money and need money can't get money.

What I need is to hit the Powerball or something. That would of course require that I play it.
