The careful observer might have noticed that I mounted the fan backwards! When a guy I work with saw the pictures I posted on Photobucket, he noticed it and pointed out that I should rotate the HSF so it points towards the case fan. That way the fan pushes the air through the cooler (intead of pulling it) and blows the air directly into the case ( Read more... )

A quick update to post some pics of the installation of my new CPU heatsink fan. I picked up the Cooler Master Hyper 6+ for a great price from work. It got great reviews on Anandtech... and it was cheap :D

Started a new job today. Same company, but I'm now on the software team instead of the sales team. I think it's going to be good. Sales wore me down. After the chaos "in the trenches" on the sales floor, being upstairs in the office writing code felt almost peaceful! No phones to answer, no cranky customers to deal with, no interruptions... blessed

Started a new job a little over 2 months ago working at a computer shop in sales. The novelty wore off quickly even though I'm a self-admitted computer nerd :P Playing cashier, receptionist, customer service, and sales all at once really puts a damper on things. Saturday night was the finale of the Celebration of Light. It was a double header with Mexico first, then after a short pause, the finale. It was kinda funny cuz Mexico's performance was done at the usual time and was spectacular, so I thought it was over. Yesterday was my Mom's birthday. They came over from the Island to visit and see the fireworks. After they arrived around 2pm Saturday we had lunch and spent the afternoon at the Vancouver Aquarium.
