So yesterday we took Kavita out to a grassy area in our complex to kick around an underinflated soccer ball. A perfectly nice woman passes by with a stroller and a dog on a leash. Our girl loudly pipes up, "That dog is WALKING...with...THAT CHICK!"

Parents of the goddamn year.

So the daughter has started trying to climb out of her crib. More importantly, it looks like she could succeed. We've taken off the side of the crib to convert it to a toddler bed. Tonight has gone well so far, but I figure it can't be long before she rolls out or starts playing with loud toys at 2 in the morning. We'll just try to keep up.

Writing this on my phone in the dark. The standard joke in these situations is that the company didn't pay the power bill. In this particular case it's actually true.
