I can't claim that this looks like a good movie by any stretch, but I'm happy to see it being made anyway. As far as I can remember this looks like the first game-to-movie transition that looks more like an homage than a pillage. I'm also vaguely tickled that the pro-forma badass love interest/eye candy will be played by Meg Griffin.

apricotica and Kavita flew out to visit Grandma and Grandpa today, and I was already missing them on the drive home. I'm sure most grown-ups ought to be able to figure out what to do with themselves under such circumstances, but right now I'm just adrift. I know there's plenty that needs to get done, especially without the girl underfoot. And yet.
