Not to this extent, but 1st grade for Emily was hard because she really struggled with her ADHD until she was on meds at the right strength. Her attention span pre-meds was zilch for math! We filled in some holes with 2nd grade and went from the bottom of the class to closer to the top of the class in one year. Things are much more stable now and homework is much easier! Even if she doesn't have meds in her by the time she's doing homework, she's been able to focus during class, which is a huge help.
It's probably a review. At least I hope it's a review! LOL
Olivia's math this year has: review of place value, shapes and solids, adding and subtracting money, word problems, 3 digit adding and subtracting, multiplication facts to 12, associative principle, analog time (and converting to digital and vice versa), solving for x, rounding, estimating, Roman numerals, measuring, fractions, decimals, division, metric weight, metric liquid measurments, area and perimeter, ummm I can't think of anything else :-).
I remember so well because Blake did the 3rd grade math last year and I jumped him to the 5th grade this year. His previous math curr hadn't taught him division.
I'm sure they'll get into this stuff after their review time!
Hi, I have no idea about 3rd grade but mysteena is pimping out some of her friends on her friend list and suggested that I check in with you. I've got the cats, a bird, the husband, but no kids and am trying to lose 52 pounds.
