That would work, except for the part where Elessar was sort of brutally murdered by his son Eldarion, who is, like, king now...

HI FRODO!

Didn't Elessar come back?

No matter, I can kill Elad-- that is, I mean . . .

Alack should be the King hence this day kill'd
That so my plans be not unjustly turn'd
My sights be now set on not the Father
But the unholy son who hath become
Naught but a murtherer and so my plan
Takes fruit in this news! I shall revenge the
Fallen King and in doing so the thone
Shall still, in the end's end, belong to me!

Yeah. Hi Faramir. Still running that Sporkdor thing?

And it actually turns out Eldarion isn't really his son, but the illegitimate offspring of the Queen's brother Lord Elrohir, and Lady Ivriniel of Dol Amroth. But yeah. Good luck with that. It's been too long since someone tried to annex Gondor.

I sure am, yup. It's gotten bigger too. Expanding further into Mirkwood, don't you know. And that old elf dude, Finwë, started an orphanage here with a bunch of Minas Tirith street kids.

Whoa, cool! So he doesn't even have direct lineage!!! This is working out so well. XD
Annexing Gondor is what I do in my spare time. Well. I plot how to do it in my spare time. When I'm supposed to be working is when I actually attempt it. Or something.

Congratulations on Sporkdor. Not that I suspect I need it, but if I have to go to war with Gondor, can I count on the Sporkdor army for support?

Um, I don't suppose you read the "my kingdom for a horse" bit? Not a good ending, I'm afraid.

*shrugs* Good luck.

Yes, I did read that part. Not planning on following the rest of his suite of action however.

Thanks for the warning though.

Besides, "my kingdom for a horse" is more of a Rohan model than a Gondorian one, really.
