"I WANT TO SAVE YOU BECAUSE YOU'RE IMPORTANT TO ME!"

Wriggle and Cirno are currently in a romantic relationship, though how much it can be called truly romantic is anyone's guess. Cirno doesn't entirely understand the concept of romance, but she knows that she wants Wriggle to be happy, and that's good enough for her. Cirno is very physically expressive of their relationship, often holding hands with or hugging Wriggle for no particular reason. She's unable for the most part to fulfill the firefly's emotional wants and needs simply because she doesn't understand just how deeply ingrained into her psyche they are, and she makes up for this through physical displays of affection.

Though she's told Wriggle she won't protect her anymore, old habits die hard, and she continues to do her best to ensure she won't be hurt by anyone else. Cirno is fiercely possessive of Wriggle, even more so than her other good friends, and she doesn't realize how detrimental that can be both to their relationship and to their own personal lives - that's something she must be taught.

talvenhenki, Touhou Project
"I know it's bad, but I wanted you to be here. I missed you so much."

Letty is, in a word, Cirno's idol. She strives to be like Letty in every way possible (the behavior is an issue that will probably need improvement for the next several hundred years). Since fairies don't have parents, Cirno considers Letty the closest to a mother she'll ever have. During winter, her Cirno's disposition is noticeably cheerier; this is not only because she's most comfortable with winter, but because it means Letty is around for the season. With the advent of spring, Cirno becomes slightly depressed and acts out violently against Lily White, the harbinger of the season, should they encounter each other. She cares deeply for Letty and wishes that she had more than just a quarter of the year to spend time with her. But because she only has that one season, she tries four times as hard to make Letty like her. She is the person whose opinion Cirno values the most.

lasersallover, Touhou Project
"Those times didn't count, okay? I wasn't ready!"

■ ■ ■ ■ □ □ □ □ □ □
Marisa Kirisame is a huge jerkface, except when she's not. This is, essentially, Cirno's thoughts about the Witch of Love in a nutshell; at times, she genuinely enjoys Marisa's company, but as soon as insults slip casually from her lips Cirno bristles and counters with her own, less creative verbal jabs. Because she's easily swayed from one topic to the next, Marisa and Cirno's conversations often alternate between teasing and normal (or at least what can be considered normal for the two of them) with an almost amazing fluidity. Marisa would definitely be friend material if she'd only stop talking smack about fairies for five minutes.

miraclexcurse, Touhou Project
"Hey, what did you say your name was again? Let's be friends!"

■ ■ ■ ■ □ □ □ □ □ □
Hina calls her "Cirno-sama," and completely believed her boasting about being the strongest. As a result, Cirno has taken quite a liking to her. IT IS A RELATIONSHIP BUILT ON A LIE and that's terribad, but Cirno genuinely likes Hina's friendly personality. Hina misunderstands a lot of what she's told, and these misunderstandings pass from her to Cirno, though neither of them seem to notice it. They have bonded in their collective naivete, making for a cute if somewhat awkward relationship.

stop_it_tewi, Touhou Project
"So I guess that means you're not stupid either. Good for you!"

■ ■ □ □ □ □ □ □ □ □
Cirno and Reisen don't talk much, but the moon rabbit was quite helpful during Cirno's first few weeks at Mayfield, so she looks upon her with a more positive light than a negative one. She can't properly remember Reisen's name, opting to call her "Raisin" or "that tall rabbit."

ahoge_goddess, Touhou Project
"You're nice, so if you're ever in trouble I'll come and save you, okay?"

■ ■ □ □ □ □ □ □ □ □
Shinki was nice to Cirno just once, and that's enough for Cirno to develop a bit of a fondness for her. She's somewhat of a mother figure to the fairy; she feels like she can tell Shinki almost anything.

hop_toit_udonge, Touhou Project
"Huh? What does that have to do with anything?"

■ □ □ □ □ □ □ □ □ □
It's doubtful Cirno would be able to pick Eirin out of a lineup; they've only actually spoken to each other on the phone. Still, she recognizes that Eirin gives good advice, whether or not she actually chooses to take it being another matter entirely.

hourai_branch, Touhou Project
"The strongest is supposed to protect the people they care about."

■ ■ ■ ■ ■ □ □ □ □ □
Kaguya is an eccentric person; anyone who talks to her for five minutes jumps to that conclusion. Cirno likes her eccentricities and her personality, so as far as she's concerned she and Kaguya are friends. She wishes Kaguya were around more often to derp around with Mayfield's own version of Team Nine.

nekomikoreimu, Touhou Project
"You can have 'em for free."

■ ■ ■ ■ ■ □ □ □ □ □
Otherwise known as "the library lady" or, more recently, "Patchy." Cirno finds it difficult to get a bead on Patchouli - sometimes she's derisive of the fairy's intelligence (or lack thereof), and sometimes she's quite nice. Due to her own mercurial temperament, Cirno responds to Patchouli in the same manner Patchouli responds to her, making their relationship a conversation-by-conversation thing. She doesn't dislike Patchouli by any means, but sometimes she finds the wizard more aggravating than anything else.

convallariaceae, Touhou Project
"You don't scare me."

□ □ □ □ □ □ □ □ □ □
Cirno doesn't hate a lot of people, but she hates Yuuka. When Wriggle took a liking to her, the youkai who had attacked Cirno during the flower-blooming festival, Cirno immediately tried to dissuade her from spending time with her, and that resulted in a fight that changed the face of their relationship entirely - initially for the worse. Though it's her own fault, Cirno blames Yuuka for the unhappiness she felt during that time, and harbors a grudge against her for her own death at Yuuka's hands. It's a shame she felt insecure enough to try to force Yuuka out of Wriggle's life - with Wriggle as a mediator between the two of them, they might have been at least good acquaintances with each other.

hangedhourai, Touhou Project
"But that's a good thing, 'cause if you're defending you can't get hurt!"

■ □ □ □ □ □ □ □ □ □
Cirno and Alice don't talk very much at all. The Seven-Colored Puppeteer and the fairy of the lake have very little in common and little desire to find said common ground.

supremejudge, Touhou Project
"Huh? I don't get it. You talk too much."

■ ■ □ □ □ □ □ □ □ □
Shikieiki and Cirno met during the events of Phantasmagoria of Flower View, and though the Yama had some deep, worldly advice for the fairy, all Cirno got out of it was that she's super boring and likes to lecture people. She's too serious for Cirno to take seriously (a paradox in itself, but it makes perfect sense to Cirno), especially since she pretty much warned the fairy that if she kept being a reckless idiot, she might wind up dead permanently. Which is preposterous, so Cirno ignores most of what Shikieiki says.

Mayfield

funkinmylab, Disgaea 3: Absence of Justice
"I'm not gonna lose to you, even if you are an Overlord or whatever!"

■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■
As far as Cirno is concerned, Mao is her new BFF and a member of Mayfield's own version of the glorious Team Nine. Mao is a huge creeper sometimes, and at other times he can be an inconsiderate jerk or even downright cruel, but Cirno enjoys his company all the same. She recognizes his...unique form of intellectual prowess and usually turns to him for advice if something is greatly troubling her, and since it usually works out she's convinced he's pretty much the smartest person ever. Except when he's being stupid or a jerkface or gross.

wolf_faerie, The Secret of Kells
"If I didn't help my friends when they needed me I wouldn't be worthy enough to be the strongest!"

■ ■ ■ ■ ■ □ □ □ □ □
Aisling is Wriggle's not!sister, and that makes her automatically semi-awesome. Cirno thinks that Aisling needs to lighten up a little, but is otherwise a pretty cool dude. At first she really only cared because Wriggle did, but she's gradually liking Aisling more and more herself, to the point where she wants to be great friends with the forest fairy very badly.

badend_hero, Higurashi no Naku Koro ni
"YOU TURNED INTO A BUG AFTER ALL!"

■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ □ □ □
Cirno's official onii-chan, except when he's in his cicada costume, in which case he is regarded as a fairy-eating bug who must be avoided at all costs. She likes Keiichi a lot, even if he is a boy and boys are gross and/or have cooties. His hot-blooded attitude and general GARness mesh well with her swelled head and complete disregard for common sense, creating a terrifying relationship of epic proportions, with Cirno inadvertently creeping Keiichi out and Keiichi inadvertently scaring the crap out of Cirno. One day, they will take over Mayfield...and then, THE WORLD.

is_an_island, Axis Powers Hetalia
"You'll be my favorite outta all of your friends, okay?"

■ ■ ■ ■ ■ □ □ □ □ □
The nation of tsundere. It's a good thing Cirno's immune to tsundere or she'd have been fed up with him from their first conversation. As it is, she readily believes everything England tells her (especially when he calls her very cute), and no matter how many times he asks she is always willing to assert that she is, in fact, his friend, and won't leave him for whales. Whales are boring and fat anyway, and England is fun to be around, even if his cooking is the stuff of nightmares.

not_oflegend, Alice
"I might not have to punch you in the head!"

■ ■ ■ □ □ □ □ □ □ □
Wriggle's not!mom. Cirno thinks Alice seriously needs to take a chill pill or twenty. They met on Cirno's first day in Mayfield, and when Alice ended up becoming Wriggle's Mayfield mom, she resigned herself to being a little nicer. They still don't talk all that often, though.

souris_keteer, Kingdom Hearts
"There aren't any giant mouses where I'm from...at least, I don't think there are..."

■ ■ ■ ■ □ □ □ □ □ □
OH MY GOD, A GIANT MOUSE. Mickey and Cirno have only spoken once, but she enjoyed their conversation. He called her cute and DIDN'T call her stupid, and that pretty much means they're friends now, regardless of what Mickey (or anyone else, for that matter) might think.

fujoshin, Durarara!!
"Yeah, that's right! You better know me! I think I like you already."

■ ■ ■ ■ ■ □ □ □ □ □
Cirno's not!mom. Being from a world in which Touhou Project is, in fact, a series of computer games, she was already familiar with Cirno, but Cirno attributed that to her status as "the strongest." She thinks Erika is pretty cool, and is completely convinced that she can see into the future. It helps that Erika humors her whenever she talks about how great she is, too.

haveaplan, Team Fortress 2
"Uh...uh...well, Letty always told me to expect the unexpected, so I expect the unexpected of you! Yeah, that sounds good!"

■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ □ □ □ □
Not!dad is pretty cool, even if he is a bit of a neat freak. Cirno loves mess and Sniper loves cleanliness, so you'd expect them to clash, but this isn't so at all. Cirno rather likes Sniper, mostly because he's pretty chill about everything she does. She doesn't get yelled at or sent to her room, and he's not mean to her at all, so she's got no reason to dislike him! She has no idea what his job consists of, which is probably a good thing.

deaths_heritor, Discworld
"I'm really glad you're gonna be a teacher, though. I bet I might like learnin' stuff if it's you teachin' me!"

■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ □ □ □ □
One wouldn't expect Susan and Cirno to get along very well. Cirno's dumb as a box of rocks and Susan's extraordinarily smart, but that seems to work well for the two of them. Even though Susan badmouths Teatime a lot, she's earned Cirno's respect for being otherwise pretty pleasant, and for being patient with her. Cirno really does like Susan; though she's never spoken to her in person, she knows that whenever she hears Susan's voice on the phone she's either going to learn something cool without being bored, or just have a chat with a really nice lady.

updollsdresses, Discworld
"So...uh...how would it work if I wanted to ask you to get revenge?"

■ ■ ■ ■ □ □ □ □ □ □
Arguably one of Cirno's creepiest relationships, Jonathan Teatime has earned the fairy's trust by approaching her at a time when she was emotionally vulnerable. She latched onto him because he seemed so kind, and because she felt bad when she mentioned he had no friends. And these are things she still feels for him, because she has no idea what his true nature is. Once again, she's never spoken to Teatime face-to-face, but she tends to listen to his advice, regardless of how terrible it actually is.

noneed_2worry, Pokemon
"I bet you win a lot, huh? 'Cuz your Pokemon are really awesome!"

■ ■ ■ ■ □ □ □ □ □ □
One of Cirno's newest friends. She met Dawn when she was failing at making cookies, and Dawn came over to help her fix what would have otherwise been a certain disaster. Cirno thinks Dawn's Pokemon are the coolest things ever, and she thinks Dawn is super cool for training them.

If I forgot your character, please comment here so I can add them to the list!
