Dude, I don't know how else to explain my Cally/Tory shipping. Something about the need for two female characters to have an intense relationship that's not about hate/rivalry/cruelty. *shakes fist at show*
Sometimes my brain will start running AU's where different characters started out on the Pegasus and wondering how they would have reacted, and Cally is one of the few where I just have no doubt. XD
I really sympathize with her stubborness too, obviously. ;) I would probably be better at seeing the gray areas, but I'm not sure I would have her ability to stand firm when it really mattered.

Your analysis of Cally is spot-on. It took me a while to warm up to her but I now adore her and am so bummed that the writers decided to 'shock' people instead of actually exploring how Cally would've dealt with the great cylon reveal. So much wasted potential...

I know, that would have been so interesting! Especially since she did ultimately trust Tory for a moment there, so she did have the capacity for change, despite her stubborness. Would have much rather seen that journey than a billion clips of Adama drinking and stairing at goo on the walls, that's for sure. :/
Nicki was SO nice to us when we met her at Comic Con! Probably because she doesn't get as much fangirling so she's not sick of it yet, but she was great. <3
