It's SO good to see you post again. You really don't know how much you've been missed. It makes my heart glad to see you take this first step!! I know you're not the same as before.. which is such a pity.. but, you know, everything changes, nothing stays the same, much as we'd like it to. The squee and fangirl settles down over time. It's only natural. YOU are what matters. I hope you know that.

It is lovely to see you again and know that you are alive. I, myself, know exactly how you feel. I lost my Elijah-squee months ago. I kinda hoped it was just a down phase, but it seems more permanent. I still find him interesting, but not to the degree I once did. And yes, it feels odd coming back to LJ amongst friends who are still so strong in their squee. I was anxious as well to do so.

I still have my m/m slash fetish- i don't see that changing- EVER! But the characters are different and I tend to lean toward more fictional boys than any based on real life people. Especially my own characters in my struggling new novel.

As for real life squeeing? These days I am head-over-heels for Mr. Johnny Weir. This year's Olympics put him on my radar with a big ol' bullseye.

Hi Cat!! I was hoping the loss of my Elijah squee was just a down phase too - but I may be like you. Sounds like we are in the same boat - I also still have an interest, but not to the extent I had before. And I HATE how his hair is now!!

I still enjoy the slash - which is why I'm hoping I can get back into fan fic. Do you still write fics? Johnny Weir - I love to watch him skate and he is certainly an interesting guy!! I'm glad you've got someone new to squee over!!

But I am enjoying Johnny's new show VERY much... his naked ass is rocking!

Ah-hem...yes, I am still writing but not any fan fiction. I have gone more mainstream and write m/m romance/erotica. Although at times I do find some of my characters channeling some D/E traits. Not surprised considering that is my home ground and first dip into the pool of slash.

Things have been better for me, but I am not complaining as they have also been much worse. Taking life a day at a time and trying to keep up. ((HUGS))

I still look at pics of Elijah - they just don't bring me the same thrill they once did. And he's doing this awful comb-over type of thing lately that just looks awful!!

Welcome back!!! I have really missed you! I understand things have changed for you, but you are more than just Elijah squee, sweetie. I am glad you still want to read fanfic though, that has always been the backbone to fandom, to me anyway.

I'm glad you got your heart rate under control, and are doing better with that. Being that exhausted must be terrible. *hugs*

I understand about the expense of work related health care, and I hope it is one of the things that the passage of the Health Care Reform bill will help. We are lucky that hubby and I were both insured. We had to completely drop his coverage at the first of the year because we couldn't afford his any longer; and that was through his employer.

Sorry to hear about your financial difficulties, and I hope you find a way to see your Dad. I really wish there were some way I could help you, dear. You are in my thoughts more than you know. *hugs tight*

Hi Addie!! I am looking forward to getting back into fan fic - I really did miss it, and you!! It will take a while for insurance rates to come down but hopefully eventually they will. One provision in the bill is that a certain % of premiums have to be put back into paying for healthcare (as opposed to advertising or lobbying or big salaries). I think it's 85%. That sounds like a good start!!

Hi Prim!! I hope I can still enjoy everyone else's squee - but more than anything I hope to get to know my flist better. I've missed you and was thinking of you when healthcare reform passed - I know it's only a start but I hope it will provide you some help. &hearts
