About three years ago, the banks stopped issuing temporary cheques. I, too, found out the hard way when my landlord wanted post-dated cheques for a year's rent and the CIBC branch, which had given me ten not three months before, wouldn't give me a single cheque. I had to order cheques. Minimum on a first order? 150!
I hate banks. In revenge, I am using the last of my cheques, which totally have the wrong address on them, before I reorder.

That's totally acceptable.. the wrong address part I mean.

I do it. And enjoy it. And screw Scotia for not giving me cheques without an address on them.

Wow, nice photoshopping job!

They didn't seriously list your last name as "Lastname," did they? Because that would be just too dumb.

I haven't even made it past the first sentence. No credit or debit, and yet they still take cheques? Who ARE these crazy people? Unbelieveable.

"Hahahahahaha. NO. Cash or personal cheques only, suckers."

What? What the hell? That has to be the stupidest policy for a University level book store EVER. Do they realize how much their books cost?!

that's kinda nice though, that you just have to buy a box of books. i always think the worst part about buying books is finding them all.

I buy all my books from Amazon used, but I really enjoy looking for them, for some reason.

I wouldn't mind it as much if they ever had the books I need in stock. It's always me locating the shelf and then finding an empty hole where my book should be. And of course it's always the book that I need to have read by like, the next day.
