Love me, love me not?

I love winter.

I hate headcolds.

I reaaally hate taking care of small children with headcolds. With all the bazillion other people my sister has on speed-dial, all of whom have ten times more maternal instinct than I'll ever possess, she has to call me when she and the hubby gotta book it out of town for the weekend ( Read more... )

They sound adorable, Ayasegawa-san... but I can understand that it might be a lot to handle when they are ill.
May I suggest a good day care?

Thanks for saying so, Ukitake-sama, and for the record I think they're completely lovely when they're healthy. I guess I'm just not equipped to deal with them when they're not. Luckily it was just for the weekend, and Kazumi's promised not to foist them off on me until they're well again.

Yare, yare. Sick children should stay with their parents.
It makes then feel safer, or so I've learned after babysitting my sibling's kids.
I hope you didn't catch what they had.

Yes, I'm sure they would have been much happier with their mom and dad, and if it hadn't been for a semi-emergency, all would have been well with the world.

So far I think I'm safe from whatever bug they had. I've got my fingers crossed that my flu shot from a few months back is still working its mojo.

...but if they'd had the chicken pox I would have spontaneously combusted.

Yup. My sister's kids, actually. Something happened with my brother-in-law's mum, and they had to jump on the next flight outta town. The kiddies weren't feeling good enough to travel, so guess who got stuck babysitting?

Damn, I knew I needed more concealer...

Eew~? They're cute for like, five minutes... though how old are they?

Don't worry~ I'm sure no one will notice! ♥ I mean, I don't even think some people know what concealer is...

Exactly. Actually, they're not too bad when they're feeling good. But when they're sick, it's a nightmare. Oh, and they're 9 and 11.

Thanks, hun. ♥♥ And I know for a fact that some people don't...
