My hair.

Aug 03, 2007 18:52

This humidity is simply god-awful. It’s taking me twice as much time in the morning to get my hair to behave, and I’m going through styling gel like no one’s business. And believe me, when you’re staring in the mirror first thing in the morning, wondering how to turn that rat’s nest into something even vaguely presentable, calling in sick sounds ( Read more... )

Oooh~ I feel your pain, Yumi-san! I just can't do anything with my hair.. So horrible, isn't it!
I just gave up and did it in this ugly bun, other wise I would have been even more late for work... So unfair~

Shave it all off?
I don't think I could do that...

You poor dear. Yours is so much longer than mine, too! The frizz-factor must be terrible for you! But, bless you, you always look so together, I hadn't even noticed you were having trouble with your hair.
Though honestly, darling, that bun's not doing you any favors...

It was just a thought. A last resort, if you will. Though Ikkaku seems to pull it off just brilliantly. I don't think I could really do it. I don't have his "Laugh and I'll tear your spleen out" attitude.

Aahhh... Well, that is one of the reasons I am usually late for work... Time management is not exactly my specialty, and looking good takes priority over arriving to work on time, no?
Though I don't see why other people can't understand my reasoning...
What?! Really? Crap! I'll have to make a bathroom break and try to fix it up!

A thought you better not think again!

I draw enough attention without being bald, and well, I think you'd just look strange with no hair. It would be a shame if you cut off all that sexy hair, so no more thinking that!

(Gah. wtf. I fail)

Ain't that the truth? I'm a good boy, though, (at least in certain regards) and I've been getting up early each morning to take care of it. Momma used to threaten to snatch our hair clean out of our heads if we were ever late for anything, and I guess old habits die hard.

Oh, it's not too bad, darling, just a little too tight. You look like Ise-san on the 4th floor... Leave a few lock loose, and you'll be sexy as pie~ (I'll cover the phones if you need to run off.)

Don't you, though? You could so get away with that Sinead O'conner look, but it'd probably get old after a week or so, and then where would you be? Me, on the other hand...? No. Just no. I think I'll keep what Momma gave me.

A-ah, Yumichika-san, please don't shave your hair off... A-although, if it's really too much of a hassle, then I guess it would be okay... But I still hope you don't shave it. I hope it doesn't get in the way of your work schedule...

Oh, sweetie, don't worry about it so much! I don't really hate it, I'm just making a little noise. The hair is here to stay, if only 'cuz Ikkaku'd laugh his little tush off, then beat me to a pulp if I ever shaved it.

H-h-humidity? It was humid this morning? I did not even notice.

Would a wig not make your head warm? It would be like wearing a hat. I cannot picture you bald either.. You u-u-use nail polish?

'Course it'd make my head warm, silly! Looking good comes with a price, didn't you know? The path to beauty is fraught with hardship and suffering. Small wonder so many people come in to work looking like they got dressed in the dark and did their hair in a blender.

And yes, I use nail polish! A different color every night~ Poor dear, too overworked to notice. We need to get you a day off. Maybe then I could paint your nails~

You.. You want your head to be warm? Would you not sweat more? I.. I have enough suffering in my life.. People should be glad I remember to put pants on.. There is a reason I buy only black socks now..

I don't pay attention to people's fingers.. S-sorry. I will try to in the future. Paint mine? No.. No.. That's quite fine. Thanks.. but no.. Really..

No, sweetie, I'm saying I'd put up with a warm head if that's what it took to be beautiful. Luckily, I don't have to go quite that far.

Coming to work without pants? I'd like to see you do that sometime~

Oh, honey, you worry enough without bothering yourself over my manicure. Though I think you'd look just darling with a little clear polish, at least...

It'll be a disgrace to be late or miss work because of your hair. Nobody would actually pay it much attention, Ayasegawa-san.

We don't hire drag queens here. Take your act elsewhere.

I don't mean to argue, Sir, but Ran-san and I are the first things customers see when they enter the building. I would hate to give them the impression that we're a company run by slobs.

And if you'll check the records, Sir, I've never been late.

I believe the forms I signed when I applied here stated otherwise. Tousen-sama has enough to do without having to handle complaints of discrimination.

Slobby and obsessed are two different things.

You will at this rate.

...No. You're mistaken. If you're drunk, you better do something about it now.

Will I, Sir? I'm not sure what you're implying.

Sir, I was assur...

Sir, I was assured before I was even put on the payroll that Soul Society Incorporated was an equal opportunity employer, that hired people based on merit, regardless of race, age, gender, disabilities, or sexual orientation. I've made photocopies of the paperwork to prove this. From the day I started here, I have been punctual, sober, courteous with coworkers and customers alike, and have adhered to the dress code.

Unless you have a legitimate complaint about my conduct, I may be forced to take this up with Yamamoto-sama.

Dress code? Pfft. You work with Ran--d'you think she cares about dress code? I sure don't.

I appreciate the sentiment, darling, but Ran-san's got the knockers to get away with it. I somehow doubt I'd get the same kind of lenience from the higher-ups...
