Today was a sleepy day again. I just couldn't get enough it seemed, even with a 3 hour nap. So I don't feel like I did much today. I did take Miko and Kerowyn on a short walk and get some grocery shopping done, so my steps weren't too bad. But I still have music to work on for tomorrow. Ah well, I have some time tomorrow still. I went on a nice walk with Kerowyn today around the town a bit. She was pulling a lot as usual, so I only took her and kept her on a short leash. Hopefully I can work on her walking manners a bit, before she takes off to run the Iditarod with me in tow. So today I only have 3111 steps on the pedometer, but it slipped partway through one of my walks, so I probably lost 900 steps or so. Oh well, at least I walked. If I keep it up, it will get easier ( Read more... )

Last night I was blessed to provide music for one of the most challenging, yet rewarding, worship services that we do during this season. We had a "Blue Christmas" service, a service of readings, prayers, and music that acknowledges that there is pain in the Christmas story as well as joy. Well, the Sunday morning test revealed that by 11:15AM and the Old Testament lesson I was needing to shut my eyes and work on not yawning. By the sermon I was just working on staying mostly upright. Thank goodness we sat during the prayers. And after I worked hard to focus for singing the (easy) choir music for the offering around 11:40AM, I snuck ( Read more... )

Just a quick update before heading to bed. I slept OK for the sleep study, waking fully three times that I remember because of sore hips. I wasn't so short of oxygen that they put me on a C-PAP machine right away. I even got to stay for the extended study the next morning; 4 short naps about 2 hours apart.
