OMG - I also cried all the way from the end of Chapter 26 when they escape from the cave and up til the end. I HATE SEVERUS. AND TO THINK I THOUGHT HE ACTUALLY WAS FOR THE GOOD. DAMN HIM.

I SO agree with your review. The romance was sooo intriguing that it made me laugh and squeal - loved Fleur when she declared that she'd marry Bill anyway and didn't care a bit if his face was horribly mangled!

Oh, my God, me too. *sigh* I absolutely loved him before. Now I just feel wretched.

Absolutely! Now that's true love! ♥ :D

And Dumbledore pleaded and had asked for HIM. I feel betrayed. And wretched, just like you. :(

Oh well. I loved this book the most. :D

SQUEEE!!!

Okay: Word on Snape. WHY?????

But, to brighten things up: Draco. Turning into a bit more of a man, and I sense conflicted interal thoughts.

And Dumbledore ... I felt a bit of a lump in my throat, but seriously ... I felt more angry than anything. HOW could he have let himself be hoodwinked?

Agree with you on H/G. It was like JK pulled it out of her arse: no development or reasoning or anything.

I would've preferred a bigger role for Luna and Neville.

And Amelia Bones!!!!! Wah!!!!

Yeah, the revelation of Snape's true character was a crushing blow to me . . . but the development of Draco's character, however, is brilliant, I think. :)

I really felt wretched after Dumbledore's death . . . I can't believe he's gone! *sigh*

Yeah, I was sad that Neville didn't have a lot of appearances. I was thinking that he'd have a bigger role now. Ah, well.

SQUEE! :D Lol. I'm still rather high on the book, despite having slept on it already. *g*

Dumbledore's "pleading" mad_mediocrity August 6 2005, 02:30:02 UTC
Now, this is just me, but I feel compelled to say something: I strongly believe that Dumbledore was NOT pleading for his life before Snape killed him, he simply wasn't. He was pleading with Snape to kill him instead of Draco. We all now can kind of tell that Draco has morals - he can't kill and therefore cannot perform the duties of a Death Eater and Dumbledore knew that if Voldemort found this out, Draco would be dead. And no matter how much of a prat and snob he may have been to everyone at the school includuing Dumbledore, he would never send someone to their own death.

Hi. :)

Yes, those are indeed very good, very valid, and very believable theories. :) However, at this point in time, I am still in denial--in very pessimistic denial. In my mind, Snape has scorned me in killing Dumbledore, and I am feeling very bitter about it. Perhaps, after the shock has worn off and I've decided to re-read the book more carefully, more critically, and more analytically, I'll hopefully see something that would make me dislike Snape less.

I really hope to see your theories regarding the matter confirmed in book 7. :)

Oh, and it would be nice if I knew who you were, too. :)

I found Hermione disappointing in this book. It is one of the things (apart from the H/G. DIE GINNY DIE) that I really didn't like. She was so... gah... JUVENILE. When she wasn't being petty and stuck up, concerning Harry's Advanced Potions book, she was making a total ass of herself because of Ron and Lavender.

But... I agree! Draco's character development was amazing. I was happy that there was some good in him. :) Who said he wasn't redeemable, hmmm?

And Blaise! :)

I like Blaise. Hee. :D

Don't we all? :p He's handsome, he's prejudiced...

There's gonna be a hell of a lot more BZ/HG shippers!! :)

Think about it, though. All that H/G stuff, (they're in LOVE people) means that D/G is virtually impossible. They're sunk! (I'm low, I know... ;p)

Yeah, Hermione's behavior put me a bit off at times, but for some reason, I didn't really mind . . . I'm strange that way. XD I know that it would've irked me some other time, but along with the rest of HBP, I somehow don't seem to mind. Weird. Haha.

I was happy that there was some good in him. :)
Abso-bloody-lutely "YES!". :D

we so agree with you about Hermione's character. Over all, she's still one of our favorites, but she totally made a fool of herself all because of Ron.

D/G barely interacted, and Draco said Ginny wasn't special...

He took Hermione's ideas and asked about her black eye and practically only spoke to her until Harry insulted his mother. :D:D

Who in the world is R.A.B.?! Regulus A. Black, I'm guessing.

Anyway, I loved how we saw Narcissa and Draco more human. Very 3D characters, with raw emotion. I loved every minute of it. And I was so happy to see Draco struggle with his power over Dumbledore...yet he still couldn't kill him. He feared Voldemort killing him and his family if he couldn't kill Dumbledore, but even then he still couldn't do it because he's not a murderer. YAY!

And all the Dramione. OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG. There was so much in there, did you notice? I about died in Draco's Detour when Hermione went into Borgin and Burkes. :D And when Draco said he got the poison idea from Hermione. See? He does notice things. He pays attention to what she says because he knows she knows these things.

Spot on! :D SQUEEEEE! :D

Oh, and that scene when Hermione went into Borgin and Burkes . . . I think I was squeeing/giggling my head off when she used the excuse that she was buying a friend a birthday present . . . *g*

:D
