Thank you so much to everyone who offered their condolences. We made the arrangements with the funeral home today. Because there are children and grandchildren traveling from North Carolina and Florida, and because the cemetery doesn't do burials on weekends, the wake won't be until Sunday and the funeral will be Monday morning.

Just when I thought I was safe, I just got bumped down to Division Two in this Saturday's Teaneck tournament.

So my plans are now set. I'll be driving up to Boston next Monday, January 26,  for my Tuesday business trip. I'm staying at the Radisson on Stuart Street.

What shall we do?

 A number of people who have had good tournaments recently have questioned here whether they 'deserve' their rating.

A rating is not Platonic. Your ideal rating is not floating in the heavens somewhere.

As I've said before, I have been dry for several months in terms of coming up with an idea for a new play.

My electrocardiogram this morning was excellent, though I now have a few bare spots on my chest where the electrodes were attached.

My metabolism is on the low side, but nothing to worry about.

Still need to take those blood pressure pills -- but, again, not a big problem.
