I got a lot of funny looks from people who wondered what I was doing there when I obviously had not been playing for the first day and a half.

.... the best Kennedy Center Honors show ever.

And the highlight was the Townsend/Daltrey tribute, and how much those two seemed to be enjoying everything.

But one of the things I love about this show is seeing the respect that people from different musical genres have for each other's work.

And the Twyla Tharp dance sequence was outstanding.

I hate, hate, HATE my seminannual bout of bronchitis. I hate coughing so hard I almost pass out. I hate feeling like crap. Happily, I seem to have caught this one early. The doctor didn't even bother giving me a shot, she just put me on antibiotics and a codein cough syrup. I should be fine by the time I drive up to Albany on Thursday.

Pam and I did very well for one another in the gift department this year. I got her a hooded sweatshirt, big enough to wear a bulky sweater underneath -- she gets very cold, especially where she works -- but what made it special is that II had it imprinted with pictures of lizards. She loves it.
