Resident Evil AU - Day 0
[You wake up feeling bruised, but you can't tell if that's the result of mistreatment or simply from lying on a polished marble floor for an unknown length of time. Upon opening your eyes, you see that you are in an atrium of sorts, a grand room with pillars and gilded molding, a landing above a red-carpeted staircase, which then turns to either side. There is a portrait of a woman, blond and aristocratic, at the center. There are two doors, on either end of the stairs, and another two below; then one to each side of the grand hall. The double doors that look to be the exit are sealed shut, and covered with plastic printed BIOHAZARD: CVX. The windows are sealed as well. Perhaps you should find an alternate means of escape? As soon as the players begin to sit up, however, a somewhat flamboyant voice drifts into the room; you see no one, and no speakers. Curious.]

There are [???] teams, and I do apologize for the little mix-up in partners, but promise that it is all to lead you to the most glorious end. I would, however, recommend you not stray too far from the one you care for... that end, I assure you, is less than glorious.
Make good use of your accouterments~ I'm afraid you will need them, as this facility is far from secure.

Of more interest; you are also wearing a bomb collar, with a little blinking green light on one side, and an unlit red light on the other. Should someone read it for you, it has the name of the partner you signed up with on it. Curiouser and curiouser. And on the far wall:]
