Why they’re reading RWBY fanfic if they haven’t watched the thing, I don’t know why, but it could happen.
While I doubt it's possible for this Stuthor, but for other writers on the site who write fics for multiple fandoms, they could gather followers that will look at all of their fics. In this case, you could get someone who loves your work but doesn't know the series you're writing a fanfic of in your new fic, yet they'll read it despite that.

Actually, if we are following canon (which this fic is slavishly doing) everybody should be wearing their School uniform during lessons. I was actually assuming that Boy to was wearing it untill he revealed that he wasn't. Which begs the questions of why he isn't wearing it and nobody commented on it before. Seriously, these kind of details should have been revealed at the beginning instead of almost at the ending.
True, but I was thinking more of how I can't recall a single instance where he mentions the uniforms. So as far as I could tell from the fic, no one had to wear a uniform.
But you're right, these are all details that should be addressed early on. Too bad this Stuthor doesn't believe in giving us all the information when it would be important to bring it up, and waits chapters later to bring it up as an after thought.
