AJ had to pull everyone away from her to give her space. Not even the smallest quirky anime-esque visual gag can escape Boy's watch!
which is odd, considering we’ve never seen Ruby enter that club. My guess is that in an earlier draft Ruby went with Yang to the club, they later changed it, but missed this line when adjusting scenes.
"OOBLECK!?" AJ finished. I'm surprised Boy "respects" him enough to use his last name, and isn't calling him "Barty" or something.
Yes the scene with Blake removing her bow was random and pointless but I did it anyway cause reasons! Ignoring the fact that there's a pretty good chance that we'll get a scene of her getting public outed as a Faunus in a later season, and depending on how important it is, could really mess with your ability to crib off of canon.
But here’s the thing, because we got such a great scene in canon (that of Yang’s backstory), whatever you do to replace that scene has to be at least as emotionally charged and revealing of character. Quoted for truth.
"Yes but luckily Ozpin is smart and covered for the slip up. He really helped us there." AJ said.
"You handled it well Ruby." Blake said.
"I hope so." Ruby said.
I think next volume is going to need a count of how many times Boy is ignored in his "contribution" to conversations.
"That's perfect!" AJ realized.
Um... what did he realise? All he's doing is agreeing with Ruby's thoughts. That's not something that would I consider to be a realisation, unless he was thinking of something else and it took him a while to figure out how that plan actually was perfect.
Then again, you do have a very good exterminator in your team," Everyone looked at each other trying to figure out who that was. "A very protective one." Ozpin finished and they all looked at AJ who laughed sheepishly at the attention. "I am still curious how you all found yourselves at the docks last semester." [...]
