Oh! Oh! It's that time of year again. The time when I suddenly remember that I have a journal and should probably write in it every so often. Except that I don't particularly feel like typing today. Just acknowledging that I will start again- eventually.

Allen and I hit up the mega HardOff near Uts on Saturday. He wanted- I don't even remember what he was originally looking for. GameCube controllers or a hard drive or something. It's been a dull, gray weekend with on and off sprinkles. No fun to really go outside. No plans for Tokyo as most everyone is a bit financially drained after the Golden Week holidays. Showa Day
I don't know what Showa Day is. Okay, I just looked it up on wikipedia. Apparently it was Emperor Showa's (Hirohito) birthday. You know, the emperor who ruled during and after WWII, passing away in 1989. Am just about to start cooking dinner and go online to verify some information because I'm OCD like that. I got a steaming basket the other day and bought some broccoli today. It's been a while and I remember that last time I had oversteamed the broccoli, so I wanted to check on suggested steam times and what signs to look for.
