I've been compiling my research notes together recently, so let me see if I got this straight.

There are a few of us here who have both body and soul, but lack hearts. Where would you class those?

Phylum limbo, then either subphlyum soul- or formless... depending on whether the lack of a heart has a more profound impact on the subject's biology or soul. As far as I understand, to be a "whole" organism requires the entirety of all three, even if a whole "identity" doesn't.

Neither is precisely correct in this case. We have a soul - as defined in our world at least - and also have a form, if by that you mean a body that is capable of interacting with the world around us.

I see. Are these people in your world born lacking hearts or does it happen to them?

I'm totally not listed here and am greatly offended.

This is why I'm asking on the network. How about meeting me halfway with some specifics?

No can do, kiddo. I just said I wasn't there and was offended, not that I'd help you slap me up there.

Also. Where are demons? They exist, you know. And you totally glossed over them for vampires? Seriously?

Then why complain?

Demons? I didn't know there were any in the City but I'll add that... and I don't know, people kept mentioning vampires! Are demons supposed to be much different?

You have omitted mechanical beings.

They exist? ...though someone did me about robots, I thought they were a myth.

mechaeonical May 27 2009, 23:01:49 UTC
...Yes. It appears that many forms of thing and person exist here that are considered merely "myths" in many of the worlds that feed into this place.

All right. I'll research it further and work it into my next draft.

Any hints on where I can start? Do you know any robot expert?

Interesting. I've noted a Worm within the City, but I have no clue where you'd put that at.

[ooc: tsurugi's technically a worm, and is somehow seeing video recordings of himself; but nobody knows that!]

What's a Worm?

[ooc: I read the wiki on KR but since Tsurugi hasn't mentioned it and Ed hasn't knowingly met any robots/androids/whatnot here, I didn't put "undead" in this version lol DX]

An alien shapeshifter. Their base forms tend to be similar to insects but they can perfectly become any sentient living things. I tend to see them mimicking humans, but I've heard of a rare occasion through one of my history books that a Worm became a bat.

[ooc: Worms are undead. Tsurugi technically has pseudo-undead status, but the fact is, Worms are completely alive.]

That's the first solid confirmation of the existence of aliens I've gotten, but one in the City that could mimic humans... is there a specific reason they shapeshift?

...yeah, I have no idea what that says. But you've got ninjas on there, so it must be good.

I've met a lot of ninja here, actually. Is it such a common occupation?

Back home it's about half and half? Something like that, for people who choose to become shinobi and those who take on a civilian job.

What about the ninja in your world - do they protect villages like us?

Is it something anyone can do? There seem to be varying degrees of that chakra stuff that ninja I know are aware of. Some haven't mentioned that at all.

Ninja in my world come from another country and protect royalty. But I've only met two, I don't know what the rest of them might do. My country relies on the military to do the fighting but half the time they end up killing an equal number of their own citizens as they do an opposing nation's. I guess we were at civil war for a long time too.
