I must be angry. I just ruined two pots of oatmeal. I burnt the shit out of the first one, and dumped a bunch of curry powder into the second one instead of cinnamon. 17 years ago, I used to try everything to get my mother to stop smoking. Us little kids know how bad it is. It's just instinct. We smell it, we wince, and then we jump to the rescue with threats of cigarettes down flushed toilets and pinholes in the papers so they can't burn.
